  • Phasing when using aux sends?

    Hello,

I'm trying to setup a VE pro for my brothers V-drums using Superior Drummer 2.0, and part of that setup uses a "crush buss" where we send the snare and kick to be heavily compressed, and then blended back into the raw sound. To do this in VE pro we setup a new bus, which we sent a good amount of kick and snare via the send, and blended it back into the raw sound, but as we did this we noticed heavy phasing of the drums! We've done this processing before in logic and never has it caused any phases issues.

Any advice on why we're getting phase issues and better yet how to solve it? If it matters, all processing is done with VSL Vienna Suite compression in 64-bit server.

    Thanks!!

  • The compressor introduces a small amount of latency, which isn't compensated for inside VE Pro at this point. This is what causes the phasing. The next major version of VE Pro will have full plugin latency compensation.
