  • VE PRO and Multitimbral Automation of Kontakt from Logic

    Hi,

    I have seen the posts (and the manual) describing how in order to control the volume for multitimbral instruments within a single VE PRO channel strip remotely from Logic, but I am still having problems.  Let me go over what I have tried so far;

    1. SLAVE - Create a single VE PRO instance, with a single channel of Kontakt containing three multitimbral instruments, set in omni mode.

    2. SLAVE - Setup two audio input channel strips to accept the audio of the Kontakt 'timbrals' 2 and 3 (so as not to confuse with the word channels).

    3. HOST - In Logic setup multitimbral instrument with Vienna Plugin instantiated in 'Multi 16x Output' mode, and click '+' button for additional aux tracks to control the independant volumes.

    Now I have no problem triggering all timbral sounds in VE PRO, and even controlling the volume for the whole channel strip itself.  But in Logic when I arm and play either timbrals 2 or 3, I do not see the audio input tracks in VE PRO receiving anything?!  This is where I seem to be stuck...are the input tracks supposed to be 'armed' like in Logic?

    Thanks for any advice...
