MIR Pro
Is there any further info and timeline for the release of MIR Pro which I have read will have the ethernet audio/midi capability of Ensemble Pro. The reason being that in slave a computer using MIR Pro, an audio card such as RME Raydat would not be entirely necessary? Also, MIR Pro will be 48khz capable?

This is helpful as I am in the process of working out a setup incorporating MIR in a slave machine. If the new machine I am getting to operate MIR will be able to use networking later I will not spend a bundle on audio hardware with additional in/outs. I trust if I purchase MIR now using the system specs which have been outlined, that upgrading to MIR Pro as you indicate later this year, will not be a problem equipment/system wise. Thanks.

Thanks. We don't have final results for Macs, but as far as Window-based machines are concerned, our published system requirements are still valid -> http://vsl.co.at/en/211/497/1687/455/1666/1328.htm
That said, it is clear that every new generation of CPUs will make your life easier when it comes to highly demanding applications as MIR. 8-)

Hi Dietz,
do you already know if MIR Pro will have an upgrade path for all MIR Se and MIR users? I have read somewhere here on the forum that there are MIR upgrade paths, but I can't find a button or something if I would like to upgrade from my MIR Se to MIR for example.
Cheers,
Sabine
P.S. I'm loving MIR Se but I need more RAM and more than 32 instruments. ;)

I fact, we plan to privilege our existing MIR user base. 😉
Kind regards,
That's very nice to hear and very generously! I'm quite shure in these days will start the really run on MIR. Yesterday I sent a mockup of a composition for woodwind quintett and jazzpiano-trio to an chamber-ensemble of one of the leading orchestras in Berlin. Actually made for the score, some tweaks with vst-expression only, no serious mixing tweaks, using vsl and orf saal 3 of MIR only. (Very comfortable to write a score in this way, I know!) Their comment about the sound of intruments and space:
G e i l !
There is no any other word to say, not for half-centenarians either. [:D]
Kind regards
Frank

Just around the corner!
Some background info: Behind the curtains, we have updated and enhanced all RoomPacks during the last months, according to the results of our ongoing research. While our initial goal was to be prepared for MIR Pro, we came to the conclusion that the sonic enhancements should be available to our existing userbase ASAP. 😊
To use these V2-RoomPacks, you will need a minor update of MIR (very likely that it will be called MIR resp. MIR SE 1.3) . - The Teldex Berlin orchestral soundstage and the Church of Maria Strassengel will be released in V2 only, that's why you didn't see it earlier.

OK as I am an early adopter of VEPRO - MIR Pro has garnered my attentions. VERY happy with Forti/Serti (with Bricasti M7) - but this could change things IN THIS MIR PRO FORM. When can we demo this?

Careful DG....
Don't get too close to the edge of the earth or you may fall off. [H]
This round world theory is up there with moon landings, JFK and all.
Dietz - your word is good enough for me....
