    Forgive me if I've missed a previous thread covering this -- been scouring the forum and haven't found the solution. I HAVE A DEADLINE TO MEET PLEASE HELP!!! :( :( Running VEP Server 64-bit on my Mac Pro (2x2.26Ghz, 16GB, OSX 10.6.5), Pro Tools 8.0.4. Not using a slave machine, I'm running VEP on my host computer. VEP is stalling on the startup spash image. When I launch the application is stalls when "Scanning content files" appears. Tried a bunch of stuff (see below with no luck). I've been getting lots of crashes from Pro Tools (some times dozens a day, at least twice a day. UGH), usually occurring when saving or auto-backup saving happens. Pro tools crashes, but VEP doesn't crash. My Metaframe consists of 5 Vienna Ensemble Pro Instances which contain about a dozen (can't remember and can't open now) Kontakt 4 instances. Despite all the crashes from Pro Tools. I haven't really had problems loading VEP until today. After a crash (Pro Tools crash) I rebooted then attempted to launch VEP Server and it froze. Force Quit, Reboot, try to relaunch VEP... rinse repeat. No luck. Trashed VEP preferences... Reboot, try to relaunch VEP... No Luck. Uninstalled VEP and Vienna Instruments Library... reinstall.     Please make sure you're using the latest version of all your VSL software. I see you're still using VE Pro 4.0.5436, which is quite old.
