    I'm trying to run VE Pro in the background as an instrument in Pro Tools. Pro Tools is crashing everytime I try to open it AFTER opening VE Pro. I open VE Pro first, in order for it to recognize Pro Tools as an audio device in the audio/MIDI Preferences. Then when I launch Pro Tools I get an error message that reads "Could not complete your request because An access violation has occurred". I've tried trashing PT prefs as well as verifying & repairing my disk permissions. Still doesn't work. Anyone know if there could be a compatability issue? If not, is there something else I can try to get these two to work together?

    You should be using the VE Pro Server, not the standalone. This way you can use the VE Pro Server Interface RTAS in Pro Tools and connect to the VE Pro Server, which doesn't need an audio interface at all.
