    Hi everybody!

There's one thing I've been wondering. I hear wonderful music on this forum all the time, sometimes very advanced pieces, made with the Vienna library.

I realize there's a lot of technical work with the programming and mixing. But how do you guys actually create the music? Do you play it with a keyboard directly into a DAW, or do you first write notes (in Sibelius?) and then export the music to a DAW? How do you make changes in the music when needed? In the piano roll?

In other words, what is your work flow?

I'm struggling with this issue. My situation is that I often need a nice, written score for real musicians. And as for myself, I'm a note writing person. I need the score to get an overview.

I'm very curious to hear your ideas and suggestions.

    Best,

    Pekay

  • Swerling, you're right, you can do a lot with Sibelius. It has been my main method, like yours.

But occasionally I feel that I want to do a little more fine tuning with articulations etc. A sequencer works fine - until I want to change something in the composition. That's when it gets tricky. What's the best way to change and keep both the Sibelius and sequencer version updated?

    Thank you for your answer!

    Best,

    Pekay
