    First off, I love VI Pro.  Extended the libraries capabilities a vast amount.

    I wish the matrix list would automatically scroll to a triggered matrix.  This would save a lot of time spent scrolling when setting up and editing

    a performance of 100 or so matrixes.

    Another thing which would be great would be to be able to "deactivate" cells of a matrix, in order to unload the samples to free the ram, but without losing all the parameters that we have chosen. This way, we could be able to start just with sustain and staccato, for example, but with all other articulations ready to go, juste waiting to be activated. I think it would be really convenient, and would give a great control on our "ram filling". Another way to do so would be to be able to "protect" some cells from being optimized. This way, it would always be possible to sketch something without loading the whole instrument, but with its complete range, without any gap. another great feature that would be, herm... great (but it might not be possible) : learning while being optimized. This would be useful if you want for example to change a few notes without re sketching everything. Infact, the main problem is that the "learn all" button loads everything in your vienna ensemble instance, which means that if you're too close to your crash limit, you just won't be able to use the function which should help you saving ram... Still, VIPro is DA BEST. obviously. David

    While we're on the subject:

    I find myself often hunting amongst different instances on my slave, and also hunting within an instance for where a certain sound and MIDI channel are sitting on the vertical list.

    What would be great would be a simple overall view of all loaded sounds. Ideally across all the instances of a slave. Like a matrix view but of instruments. Not much different than a spreadsheet almost. A simple vertical series of slots, showing channel, output, and loaded instrument. Perhaps with the ability to quickly load something in.

    Regarding hunting amongst many instances on a slave, if all the instances could be gathered together, perhaps with tabs like safari has for web pages. At the moment I end up with about 8 windows on the slave all overlapping and fighting for attention.

    Yes!!!

    One window with tabs would be great. I thought of this early on when using VEPro. There is a lot of generously utilised space in the VEPro interface that could accommodate this. The VEPro server could also be integrated. Too many windows at the moment, and having the Server as a separate application just makes things more complicated than they need to be. You can't have an instance without the server so the two are inextricably liked anyway.

    We are looking into improvements in this regard. However note that you can simply use Exposé on OS X. You can show all windows of the current application with a single click that way. On Windows this problem doesn't really exist, since everything is easily accessible from the task bar.
