    Hi all, 

    I have just built an AMD 6core PC slave that is connected via gigabit to my Mac Pro.  They see each other with no problem, but there is a constant CPU spike (Logic will show it but it isn't Logic related...was in Cubase 5 as well) ever three seconds or so.  My PC is running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and the Mac is 10.6.5.  VE Pro is the latest version downloaded today for both machines.  

    I searched but didn't come up with anyone talking about this issue.  Can anyone help or has had this problem before?  The spike is there with no instruments loaded, just the connection.

    After much searching on just CPU spikes every three seconds I read about Gigabyte utilities that poll the motherboard constantly.  Sure enough that is what the problem was.  I uninstalled all the gigabyte programs and VEPro ran as smooth as butter!

    This just reminds me why I love my Mac so much.  :)
