  • "Horror" Strings...

Hi everyone, i have a (maybe) stupid question... Which sounds are in use for this typical sliding Horror-String Sound? I´ve tryed differend sounds from the SE and SE+ String with pitchbend but never get this big Sound? Thanks! Stefan

  • You need cluster and glissando patches, would go a long way, and of course put in a lot of dissonance.  Not sure the SE string products have such things.

  • When I need this effect, I use the portamento patches and combine the orchestral strings and chamber strings.  You have to get a little creative with it, playing arpeggios and chromatic scales to get the proper timing and effect, but you can get some good results if you are patient.

  • Thanks a lot! I will try it...
