  • A problem with Vienna Suite in MIR

    Hi MIR users and team,

is the following behaviour known to anyone:

Vienna Suite plug-ins that are listed as being "on" (that is, inserted and active) in the given instrument channel, but:

    a) there is no difference to the preprocessed signal (as if there were no plug-in inserted)

    b) they can't be opened any more

This is a serious problem, and an answer would be very appreciated.

    Thank you all,

    Goran

P.S. Could there be a problem with the parallel usage of jBridged plug-ins?

  • Hi Goran,

sorry to hear about your problems. Of course we use MIR with our own Vienna Suite plugins all the time, so this is not the expected behavior. We don't officially support jBridge, but it is no secret that most MIR users (including me) use jBridged 32-bit plugins and/or VSTis in addition to "real" 64-bit software without major problems.

Please supply us with as many details as possible, like MIR and VS build number, Windows details, eLCC version, audio system, computer configuration etc.

BTW - does  this also happen with 3rd party plugins?

    Thanks in advance,

    /Dietz - Vienna Symphonic Library
  • Hi Dietz,

thank you for your answer. I have loaded the plug-ins anew and saved the project. For now everything seems to be ok. Perhaps I schould avoid having more then one of their interfaces opened at the same time...

I haven't as yet worked with third party audio plug-ins in MIR, so can't really tell. Some of the instruments aren't very stable (f.e. HSO and Synful).

However, here are some technical data:

    MIR: v.1.1 bild 1670

    Vienna Suite: v.1.2.1455

    Windows 7

    eLCC: v.6.0.2.7024

I work with a Digital Audionetworx DAW with 6 physical kernels and 24 GB RAM.

    Best regards,

    Goran

  • Goran, you definitely should consider updating your software. The MIR build you use is about 9 months old, and Vienna Suite isn't up-to-date either. eLCC is at 6.0.2.7036 in the meantime.

BTW - MIR 1.2 is just around the corner, so that will be the perfect occasion to do the next step ;-)

    Kind regards,

  • Will do when 1.2 is out.

    Thanks,

    Goran
