  • Solo Violins, progressive vibrato not so progressive?

    Hi,

I've been strugglig with a violin solo passage for some hours, and I have finally achieved quite a good result. There's one thing that is bugging me though. When using the articulation VI_sus_Vib_progr, the vibrato is not progressive at all if there's a musical phrase at moderate to fast tempo preceding the articulation. The VI_perf_legato_Vib_progr doesn't seem to be an option either, as a transition-note gets triggered, which - in this case - totally spoils the realism.

I can think of two work arounds. Either use the second cell and crossfade between no vib and vib. Works ok, but it doesn't sound as good as using the articulation with progressice vibrato would have. The other option would be to create a new midi-channel and put the problematic articulation there. If no notes preced it, the vibrato is indeed progressive.

Surely, there's a better way to achieve progressive vibrato though?
