    I have a Macbook pro, Leopard, 2,2 Ghz, Duo 2 Core, 4 GB Ram, HD intern 500

    Logic (9 and 8) can not handle the VE if it uses 11 channels (often also less) not in mono neither in stereo.

    The samples are on the internal HD.

    Could it be, that the audio core from apple simply sn't enough ?And if so, what kind of external soundcard to support Logic - VSL is the minimum (I'm searching for concret product)

    PaulR has recommended an excellent soundcard, but I would say running the samples from your internal HD is more likely to be causing you problems. Get yourself a external Firewire 800 HD and try that out.

     Don't go with an ext Firewire Hard disk but with ext e-sata disk

    I use an express card with my MacBookPro

    I have a firewire MOTU traveler interface but the MOTU Ultralite is cheaper and very good
