6-core and MIR?

Hi. Did anyone try Intel i7 980x with MIR? Does MIR uses all 6core/12threads? thanks -k

Hi Kambiz,

doing a quick search in our database, I couldn't find a beta-tester with a 980, just  940 or 960, but I'm sure our local hardware-guru CM will chime in ASAP with an educated opinion. :-)

What I can say for sure is that  Vienna MIR will use all 6 cores for its calculations.

MIR is using one thread per instrument - so a chamber arrangement wont, but as soon as you have 12 or more instruments on stage all (virtual) cores will be used.
