  • Vienna Choir

there's a price announced for Vienna Choir (full library $1,230)

Does it mean it is imminent?

Any more info on included articulations and whether there's any kind of a word builder?

  •  It has already been stated that there is no Wordbuilder.

  • so it is very expensive to sing aah ooh ouh ........[;)] we have that already included in Logic [:D] almost for free [:P]

I am very curious to see what you get for that price, ( I have E/W Choir)

    Best

  • Hi, Anyone know any approximate release date? It has been "coming soon" for 2 years? Thanks

  • better a realistic ooh ah than an awful sounding word builder

well, i suspect that we get the most flexible and best sounding choirs out there... i don´t see any reason why the choirs should be of lesser quality than all other libraries of VSL

  • To chime in: I agree, the ONLY reason word builder was even included in something like EWQL choir is because making the choir sing the stock Latin phrases makes it sound a little more realistic than just OOh and AAh pads. However if the OOH and AAH sounded realistic to begin with then 90% of people wouldn't give a rat's ass about having word builder and I'm one of them.

As long as the new VSL Choir is absolutely stunning in its OOHS and AAHS then it will be worth it and I will be one of the first buyers....

Keep in mind to be "stunning" it has to:

    1. sample legato intervals realistically which to date has been the weakest part of any choir

    2. have staccatos and ability to go "epic" such as perhaps crescendos etc(sadly this is the one area I doubt VSL choir will be strong in as VSL in general seems to be often more geared towards the stage composer rather than cinematic/film composers but I'd love to be pleasantly surprised)

  • +1.

Hey VSL - where the heck is the release???   Need it last week.[;)]

  • E/W Choir can sing English too

E/W is quite stupid because they have not work and improve their dictionaries.

When you use word builder, you have to do a lot of work so it sounds OK, you cannot just type your phase

E/W could add other language has they have all the sound recorded, it is just a question to dictionary

  •  Noticed that the choir choiz has ended.... just missed by 10.000 samples :) oh well.

  • Good - now that we got that out of the way - let's roll out our credits cards and ship the darn thing OUT.[;)]

  • Wonder when and if they are going to annonce a winner of the quiz.....?

  • I don't remember what I've sent .... anyway, 31,412 samples is 5 times less than the solo strings BUT will be 5 times hotter !! (and the solo strings is already hot)

Long live to VSL !! [I]

  • I wonder: will there also be a prize allotted to the one furthest off the mark in the choir quiz?[A]

It's actually quite cruel. After all, with the state of their economy, nobody will be able to afford it. [:D]

  • Not far off but we are hopeful that Obama will offer a 'Sample Library Stimulus Package' - he's done if for everything else.[:$]
