Simple question but I haven't really gotten a straight answer for it yet...I'll probably be closer to having $2000 to spend on my Mac Pro and it seems the Quad-cores are more in this range. I'm doing a film score that is classical in nature and I'm just wondering if the quad-core will do the job as far as getting enough voices with VSL...with Digital Performer 6 being my sequencer? Will I be able to get a full orchestra without crashing? Is there anyone here who uses say a Dual 2x2.66 quad-core who hasn't had much trouble getting this many voices? and how many can you get?
Thanks very much, David
