I would like to know if it is possible to run the VE3 (32 bit) master as VST plug-in and one or more (64 bit) slaves on the SAME machine to overcome the Vista's 4GB memory limitation. Thanks.

EPOK, you need to give more details as to what you do. Vista doesn't necessarily have a 4GB limit; its a limit for any 32bit operating system. if you use a 64bit version of Vista (which is what I'm assuming you want to do) then you can just run VE2 as a plugin. I'm running a 17GB template within 32bit Nuendo, so you can run 64bit plugins (as long as it's VE) within a 32bit sequencer.

I would like to run VE3 as a VST plugin within the Sibelius (32 bit) notation software on my desktop running Vista 64bit. From what I understand is that Sibelius can only load a 32 bit VST plugin and because it is 32 bit and it will not be able to address more than 4GB. However, you haven't had any problems with running a 64 bit VST plugin within a 32bit process. So I guess there is a good chance that the 64 bit VE plugin will works with Sibelius. Let me know if you see any problems with my setup. I'm in the process of setting up my 64bit Vista system. So I will be able to test when it's ready. Thanks for your advise. EP

You need VE2 not VE3 and this is free...! VE uses its own memory space, so you don't need to worry about the whole 32/64bit thing.
