Sorry if this has already been covered. I did a couple of searches and a lot of reading but still feel like I'm not getting the correct result.
I have the Appasionata Strings and am trying to do a passage with a lot of repetition and no matter what I try I still seem to be getting a machine gun effect. From what I understand, repetitions should be as easy as having a patch like VI-20_perf-rep_leg in one cell and triggering the same note multiple times in a row.?.? However, I don't seem to be hearing an effect like the bows going back and forth over the strings. It just seems to be restarting the same note. This is more noticeable on the spiccato or harsh rep patches. Am I missing something? If so, could someone please explain to me what exactly I need to do to get realistic repetitions.
