Dear rocnathan,
do you have the latest version of LCC installed? It´s version 5.4.10.4:

Please restart your computer before installing this software.
Kind regards,

Hi Rocnathan
Please check:
Make sure that the PlugIns are in the correct folder. Perhaps you should "deal out" them.
Perhaps you are using the 32Bit-Cubase with the 64Bit-Vista (no problem)
But the automatic installation copied the PlugIns into the 64 Bit VST folder... ?
Example how it should be:
and
The folder names could be a bit different because I'm not sitting in front of my music-PC just now.
But they should be similar.
A lot of success

Make sure that the PlugIns are in the correct folder.
Thanks for the well-intended help, but I checked all that - the plugins show up in the menus and everything, they just behave as if they weren't licenced when in fact my dongle says they are. But I guess from some of the other people's responses that this is indeed some syncrosft issue - sigh. I'll just trust VSL to reset all the demo licences when the issue is resolved (wink, wink) 😊
It's not like I desperatey need them, I have a zillion plugins. But I was interested in the VSL-specific settings, and of course I'm not going to dish out 400 euros for software I know nothing about.
I aggree. The for testing the suite is to short.
Before the demo version expired I could test it only once. So I get really no feeling regarding the money worth of the suite.
What I miss is the reverb module.
So I have to spend extra money for the reverb!
Interesting. My demosuite stopped working after few days.
In the meantime I uninstalled it.
So I will install it again.
Will that work?

Hi steff

..and keep in mind that there are not only MAC-users (... I mean iLock for PC was always a joke [:)]) I can tell my stories as well - with Altiverb and iLock but also here: It seems that the problems are solved ...
I'm sure that VSL will do "its very best".
There are so much of possibilities: AMD, Intel, Windows XP/Vista MAC, Leopard, 32Bit, 64Bit, hardware combinations ...
I wouldn't be a software developper.

Hello Beat, therefore I was talking about ... seldomly used on Mac.
Thanks

Hi steff3
Thanks on behalf of VSL [:)]
Herb and his team need these negative feedbacks because VSL can't simulate the diversity and wide varity of systems we can have.
So your crashes will help to bring the Suite up to a higher level - even if it is/was not a very pleasant situation for you.
I'm sure that you will get a better or well running Suite soon.

Brian, the Demo License is time-limited, it will only work for 30 days.
Best,
Paul
Thanks for the answer Paul. [:)] I think I've got this straight. OK...so every time you demo a Vienna Suite plugin it subtracts a demo start while at the same time the Vienna Suite demo license itself is limited to 30 days. This means that every time you run out of demo starts you have to refill them to demo the Vienna Suite even if you still have time remaining on the Vienna Suite demo license. So if the demo license only lasts for 30 days then why do you need to subtract demo starts at all? Wouldn't it be a lot easier if the demo license just worked unlimited for only 30 days? [:^)] This way you wouldn't have people confused about why the demo stopped working before the end of the 30 day trial period. Maybe this is a Syncrosoft thing, but it seems complicated to me.

because otherwise a demo license could be used for an unlimited period - as you might have noctied with other types of demo licenses ...

Just downloaded the demo, and amazingly enough ALL 30 starts were taken up during the authorization process in Logic 8.0.2! I then refreshed the license and opened a single instance of the analyzer plugin, I'm down to 28 starts! Opened the EQ, down to 26. I dont understand it, but it seems each plugin takes 2 starts away!
Thank God that VSL decided to do a 30-day trial and they allow you to refresh the number of starts! Looks like I'll be refreshing my starts many times in the next 30 days, that is unless I buy it before then! [:D]
well i can't say what exactly is going on onder the hood of logic during the validation process, but theory says that *touching* a plugin (eg. for validation or for loading) is using up one start. inserting the same plugin into a second track should use no additional start now.
