    My setup is as follows:

    SLAVE: Win64 8GB RAM, VSL SE+ Ext., RME 9652

    MASTER: Win32, 4GB RAM, Sonar, MOTU 828 (1st generation, not mkii nor mkiii)

    The Master sends MIDI through the LAN using MIDIOverLAN. The SLAVE sends audio through ADAT into the MOTU 828.

    The problem is that I cannot hear live input into the ADAT. To do so, I must activate Direct Monitoring in SONAR, but when I activate this, whenever I rec MIDI the audio engine stops. There's some software called CueMixDSP provided by MOTU, but doesn't work.

    Is there any solution to hear real-time ADAT inputs?

    While I have no first hand experience with Sonar, and only limited memories about the 828, my guess would be that you should switch _off_ Direct Monitoring, to make use of Motu's CueMixDSP-software.

    Thanks for your advices.

    Unfortunately I tried almost everything. The only thing I fan are in Italian and seems to say that MOTU 828 MkI is not working with CueMixDSP.  That MOTU is aging by now. I am checking for a newer interface right now.
