Has anyone got an opinion on the relative merits of the various brands of RAM for the new Mac Pro? I hear that Samsung and Hinix make them for Apple - Kingston do not but are cheaper. Kingston fans seem to think RAM is just RAM and if it doesn't fail, that's all that matters. Which to me is like saying if a car starts and doesn't stall then why bother with another make of car. But anyway, your thoughts (and tests?) much appreciated.
Also, very important, is there a benefit, now with Leopard's increase in Logic's access to RAM, in getting more than 8Gb?

I also vote for crucial.com. It is the only memory I buy and I never have any issues ever. I have bought Crucial for over 7 years now for every MAC or PC I have owned and never had them fail me. I used to buy other vendors and get application faults in recordings etc. The moment I moved over to Crucial all those problems went away for good.
Hope that helps.
