     Hello here,

    I am trying to install my Vienna Instruments Special Edition on a new iMac I got, then I downloaded the latest installer from your website (ViennaInstrumentsOSX-2.0-3173) and installed it (with y key connected in one of the free USB ports). Once done that, I launched the "Vienna Instruments Library Installer" inside the Application folder of my iMac, then I went to locate the "package.info" file inside the first installation DVD, I clicked OK and suddenly I get the following error:

    "Syncrosoft POS Error Message: File Synsoacc.bundle does not have the expected interface."

    then I click OK and I get:

    "Syncrosoft POS Error Message: File Synsoacc.bundle could not be located in the Application Support folder"

    Actually there not such a file in my Application folder. Any idea? Do I need to install something else before what I did?

    Any help is really appreciated.

    Have you tried installing the latest syncrosoft dongle software from their website before installing VI? Tim

     Yes, that was the problem! I instal;led that first and everything worked fine. Thank you for the tip!

    Hello, can you give me the link ?  I cannot find the site and I have the same problem. I have updated Vienna Instrument to the latest version for Mac (I have a MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.4) and the stand-alone application works well but when I try to use the virtual instrument in Logic 9.1, Logic tells me that it cannot find the "Synsoacc.bundle" ???

    I found the link but it does not solve the problem... I get the same message as Fabrizio except it is the other way around:

    When I try to open the VSL Special Edition plugin I get 

    "Syncrosoft POS Error Message: File Synsoacc.bundle could not be located in the Application Support folder" 

    And when I quit the plugin I get

    "Syncrosoft POS Error Message: File Synsoacc.bundle does not have the expected interface."

    My setup:

    Mac OS: v. 10.6.4 - app CCL: v. 1.9.20.1 - app POS (Synsopos app): v. 1.8.4.6 - bibliothèque POS (synsoacc.bundle): v. 1.8.4.6 

    Vienna Instruments app. : v4.0.5740 - Logic: v 9.0.2

    Why does ti work as a stand-alone and not as a plugin in Logic ??

    Hi byrd,

    please install the latest version of the VSL Software , then you might want to run Logic´s AU Validation manually.

    Hello Paul,

    Thank you for your mail,
    I had already updated to  the latest version of the Vienna Instruments software as you seem to suggest. I have v4.0.5740. The details of my setup are in my previous mail. It is actually after the V.I. update that the problem started
    The only thing I did not do was to run Logic AU validation mannually... I will try that and get back to you

    I can't help but giggle at the phrase "Syncrosoft POS Error," as here in America P.O.S. is a rather unflattering criticism of something.

    "Piece Of..." well, use your imagination as to what the 'S' could stand for  😊
