    Seeing that I have some of them on my vienna SE, I was reluctant to order the full blown one but I want greater velocity range and more sounds using this large string samples so I figured "might as well". I have been listening very intently to real strings these days and find that the attack on the VSL strings is very accurate. You can hear the bow hitting the strings for the shorter samples and almost feel the bow gliding along the strings for the legato samples. Nice job!

    Let me know when you get them all loaded up and get a chance to try them out. Im interested in what you think of them. How do they compare to the strings in the SE?

    hi,

    i just purchased the special edition, and after use it , my opinion is that  the most important things in vienna are

    the articulations!! a legato without vibrato is not intersting. 

    we need to buy the complete categories of vienna ?isnt it

    Is there a legato without vibrato in SE? I didn't think there was.

     there is no vibrato in the SE , how can i do to get them?

    All string patches market legato have vibrato, unless it says otherwise.

     i purchased the download string edition , and id like control the vibrato as a layer with my bend, is it possible with this pack?thanks

    Vibrato is not controllable in VSL, except by using a different patch. Of course you can use a controller to Cell xFade between patches.

    As far as strings are concerned, there is no product by any developer that has controllable vibrato that is in the least bit useful. The ones who try it fail dismally IMO.

    I could not agree with you more on this. I have the Library for two weeks now and it is fantastic. The VSL team has done a wonderful job.Best, Joseph

    The default patch is the vibrato patch. It's the non vibrato one that you may not have.
