  • Cubase 4 essential

     Hi folks.

    I have got Cubase 4 essential, and all i want is to create a "reverbaration system" (so called "power panning") as the video tutorial shows.

    I dont know where to start - i even dont know if it is possible with cubase 4 essential. 

    I am not an expert in using Cubase - I am only used to the "basics".

    I cant understand what they are try to explain. I tried to rebuild but it didn't work.

    I can't open the demosongs from the vienna page, by the way , it would be usefull to have a demosong for cubase4essential ;) . 

    so is there anyway to use cubase4e. in a way as logic in the videotutorial?

    it would be perfekt for me positioning the different instruments...

    yeeahh.. I realized the instruction of DG :

    No, why would you do that? You can route as many instruments to a group as you like.

  • an example : 

    you have got a violin, which should sound far away all the time - the same time you have got a cello which comes from "far away" closer and closer .

    if you are fading now the groupchannel 1 both, the violin and the cello will come closer.

    for this purpose you will be forced to create 4 group channels, or am I wrong?

    in your solution, the "wet signal" (group channel 1) is only the reverb, or is it the reverb+the normal sound? for me it sounds like the normal sound comes with this channel1 too.

    However, unless the cellist is riding on some kind of float, it can't come closer and closer. [;)]

    Look, we are talking about dry and wet, not closer and closer, although that may be how it sounds sometimes. If you want more dry signal from the cello than the violin, just change the amount in the send from the cello VSTi output. You can even automate this, so that it doesn't even have to remain constant.

    The reverb (wet channel) is always reverb only.
