    I'm currently downloading the first file of the SE Percussion and the download speed is 5 KB/s (ten hours download time) ! There are nine other files to download... that's a week long downloading, if no interruptions/corruptions occur. I've check topics on the forum and found another french customer with the same problem. It seems that france telecom is the problem, but why do i get 120KB/s on any other site ? Would it be possible to receive a DVD with the files, it should arrive before i finish downloading... ;-)

    whereas the route from vienna to your location also goes via frankfurt we have no significant delay there currently ...

    but i notice another issue: the last hop (your IP address) shows a packet loss of up to 100% - this usually means your modem/router/firewall is behaving erronously ... i'd try to reset the modem and/or router resp. or check the firewall rules ... the response-time is increasing from 54 to 131 ms just for this last hop ....

    btw: i took the liberty to change your displayed username to k27 - it is no good idea to use the email address, since web-crawlers would immediately add them to some spam-database ....

    and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.

    Dear Christian, thanks for your response and for changing my displayed username. Everything is fine now. I couldn't get more than 17KB/s for a single file download, but i found out that when dowloading multiple files simultaniously, i get faster download speed (about 40KB/s globally) so it took about 15 hours to download everything. I don't understand why multiple files get faster download speed (globaly) than single files... Many thanks, Petar.
