  • New Works using VSL Pro Edition by a Master Composer/Orchestrator

The following link will take you to a page of my newer works.  I am one of the first American composers to score an entire animated TV series using MIDI and am currently working on my 10th CD for computer-based instruments.

Thanks for listening.  If you have any comments please send them to jerry@jerrygerber.com as I don't check this forum often.

  •  How come that I first thought "Oh, Evan is back!" ...

If you don't intend to discuss your music here, why do you post it then?

Well, anyways. I have a question: Why do you say that your music is for digital winds or digital orchestra? I don't hear any specifically digital use of the instruments. All of them play in their familiar idiom and thus your mp3's sound not more than like a simulation. The rendering is OK, but played even by mediocre musicians your music would sound much more interesting to my ears.

And the contrast you make between the acoustic instruments and the synths in your symphony sounds completely irrelevant with this all-digital rendering, but I can imagine some interest when the synth stuff is contrasted to real musicians.

So, why do you insist that the pieces are for digital instruments?
