  • Logic on 2, 3 systems - how do VSL farms really work?

Hi there I have the follwing issue: I wonder how people work with VI spread over 2 or 3 Macs. When doing a bounce of the final track, is there a way to do that directly on the "main" system, or do all tracks have to be imported (recorded) first, so that everything from the added systems is present on the main system? Logic node is for getting more resources, but not for bouncing data directly without having to record it first. I know that many of you are working with so called VSL farms - but how to they do the final BOUNCE? What is your opinion about just having ONE Mac pro (8 cores) and 32 Gb RAM - will it really be necessary to still using VSL farms? Or would it help to split the VSL data over FIREWIRE or USB 2.0 external HDs? Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with me. Matt www.soundfulproducts.com
