Package.info I can't open to!
I think I have to bring back this software into the store and buy the Eastwest Symphonic or something like that

Muzique,
we can make that together, I´m sure [:)]
It will be a little easier if you tell me which steps you have taken by now. Obviously you managed to install the Syncrosoft LCC, that´s a good first step.
And the Vienna Instruments Software is also installed.
Now to the Library Installer: I guess that you have started it - then it asks for the "package.info" file.
If you try to open the "package.info" file by itself, there won´t be any effect!
Hope that helps. I really suggest to watch the onscreen tutorial and follow it step by step, then there won´t be any misunderstandings. You also have these tutorials on your Special Edition CD, BTW.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Paul
Hi Paul, thx for the help.
I try to explain it in English what I did until now:
First I put in the Steinberg-Dongle.
Then I installed the LCC
Then I installed the Vienna Instruments software
Then I would open the LCC for the register-code, but I can't open the LCC.
When I doubleclick the package.info then it writes, that I can't open this.
Hmm?
Hi muzique,
did you try after a restart? The Syncrosoft LCC should be properly installed, otherwise the installation of the Vienna Instruments wouldn´t have worked.
You should not doubleclick the "package.info", that is useless.
As described in the manual and shown in the Installation Video, you need to start the Library Installer (in the Vienna Instruments folder you find in "Programs").
The Library Installer will ask you to locate "package.info" on DVD #1, and will guide you through the installation process.
The installation will work without the licenses downloaded, as it contains a Demo License for cases like this - you have 180 free starts to check out the collection.
Let´s see if we can get the installation of the library to work. And I´d try a restart, then open the Syncrosoft LCC before anything else to find the serial number of your key.
Best,
Paul
Good morning!
Ok, I´m in a bit of a dilemma here, because I´m afraid you don´t answer my questions..... at least not the way I would expect it.
After a restart, do you see the Vienna Key in the Syncrosoft LCC?
Because to me it looks like the key is not recognized by the LCC.
Of course you can start installatio without being connected to the internet - all you need is the Syncrosoft LCC, the Vienna Instruments and your Vienna Key.
Did you have a chance to look at the installation video? It would make things easier to explain and you could tell me where you are stuck....
Thanks for answering my questions in advance!
Best,
Paul
Not to interrupt this lovely dialogue, but I would say that you haven't yet downloaded the licence to your dongle. This can be done from any PC connected to the Internet. On your Internet PC you have to:
Install the LCC software
Insert the dongle when told
Then follow instructions, as given on screen, and also in the manual.
Then when you insert this dongle into your music PC it should see the licences when you open LCC.
DGintending to interrupt the lovely dialog ... it rather looks to me that neither the respective key nor any product is registered as of now ... so there has no activation code been handed out and therefore no license been downloaded.
fortunately a ViennaKey has 180 demo mode #1 starts to allow at least installing software and libray, but i strongly recommend to follow the instructions given in the video tutorial.

And this is where the problem lies; he is using a Steinberg key. [;)]

Hi
Sorry, if I didn't answer your questions...the English language is so difficult like to install the Vienna Special Edition!
Okay, I saw the video and I stuck there, where I should open the Syncrosoft LCC.
Where can I see the key in the Syncrosoft LCC when I can't open it?
Where should I download the licence for my Steinberg Dongle?
PC: Start - Programs - Syncrosoft - License Control Center
Mac: Finder - Applications - License Control Center
you can download the license on any computer connected to the internet
you can run the (Vienna Instruments Software) installer on any computer the key is attached to
christian
after registering you should have received a confirmation email with the activation code mentioning *please paste the code into your LCC and download the license*
that's what you should do ... on the internet computer ... having the key attached
meanwhile i have sent you also a demo mode #2 activation code for checking out the extended library.
please note: download the permanent license for the standard library first, and in a second run the extended demo.
if you don't find the quickstart guide (the yellow paper, also in french) sufficient and have problems understanding english we will forward your support requests to maya or marnix.
