  • Adding Libraries If I Own a Partial List:

If I purchase the Bösendorfer library, and I have the Special Edition VSL with the limited Bösendorfer library, what happens if I install the full library?  Do I have two seperate libraries, or do the files add to the existing?  Also, I have the Opus Series, should I reinstall the Opus Series with having the Special Edition on the PC as well?  There are some sounds on there I want that the Special Edition did not include.  Thanks!  Frankz.

    Hi frankz,

you will have 2 seperate libraries, of course [:)]

If you want to use the samples contained in your Opus 1, you will need to install it.

You might also want to take a look at the new Special Edition Standard PLUS Library.... which contains many more articulations for the instruments included in your Special Edition Standard Library (like trills and repetitions). This way you would stay on the Vienna Instruments level all the time.

  • What [rough] % does the PLUS edition contain of the SC?

    Hi Banquo,

that is another tricky question [;)]. But you can take a look at the Download Package Description, that includes all articulations, sample numbers and file sizes. I don´t like numbers too much, so I won´t dive into the math.

But I know that the Standard PLUS is a great package, because I have played with it!
