  • Thanx for your response. :)

  • Hi, me again. :)
After consultation of my local distributor (univers-sons.com), he said me : "I need the discount calculator too"...
    So what ?

I have the "Chambers Strings" & "Special Edition". Do you know how cost for me the extensions for both, and just for "SE" ?
(Sorry for my English, if I made some faults, I'm a simple froggy...)^^

  • Hi Diego,

we are checking the status of Univers Sons as soon as possible (they are Authorized Dealers).

Meanwhile let me give you the information you need [:)]

Special Edition Extended Library: 465 Euros

Chamber Strings Extended Library: 595 Euros

This is the price IF you don´t have any Horizon Series collections like Chamber Strings (Horizon!!), Pro Edition, First Edition or OPUS 1 registered.

If you have registered any of these products, please contact support@vsl.co.at and we will get back to you asap with further details!

    Best,

    Paul

  • Thanx, Paul, for your response.

But : "hiiiiiii !", I don't know what is the version of my VSL...

    I have :

    - "Special Edition Standard Library" (327)
    - "Chamber Strings Standard Library" (208)

I'm sure is not an "Horizon" series, but I can't tell if is Pro Edition, First Edition or OPUS 1... (All I know, it's with the Real-Time Performance Detection tool.)

  • Hello Diego,

this means you licensed what I assumed, 2 Standard Library Vienna Instruments.

The upgrade prices are correct then :-)

The "Real-Time Performance Detection Tool" is called Vienna Instruments, you should be familiar with that name as you see it every time you open it.

Just wanted to make sure that ou don´t have any of our previous libraries.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Thanx, Paul.

    But it's unlogic.

The "Chamber Strings" are very present on the "SE". I have the "Chamber Strings Standard Library". I should have some reduction for Extended "SE" Library...

    (Ok, ok, I try...) :D

Here it is, nearly a month later, and we still don't have a discount calculator?  I have to say, it's becoming rather extraordinary on the part of VSL -- a company that communicates with its customers only through website and email -- to allow such an important element of its website from the standpoint of the existing customer base looking to expand its libraries -- to remain broken for a prolonged period.

If I weren't so intrigued by the new Vienna Ensemble software I might have lapsed into some kind of stress psychosis. 😉

Sorry we are behind of our schedules.

The discount calculator has to be redesigned from scratch for our new system.

It's a very diffcult task and needs some time to be finished.

Also the BUY function in our shop is based on the calculator system.

That's the reason why the shop is not finished at the moment.

But you can buy all of our products at our distributors and authorised dealers.

They also can handle your VIP discounts.

You can find a list of our distributors here:

and a list of our  authorised dealers here:

  • You can see your discounted prices since several weeks now directly on the product pages.

The "Your Price" columne displays your personal upgrade price,

you just have to be logged in and of course all your products should be registered.

Since there are no multiple buying options like in the past (buying Horizon or Pro Edition products before buying a Vienna Instrument),

a discount calculator would not offer more services than these individual upgrade prices on the product page.

  • Thanks, Herb, for the kind favor of your rapid reply.  The personalized pricing that now fills in on the product pages had escaped my attention.  My only remaining concern is for how I communicate the pricing stated on the page to my vendor, e.g. AudioMIDI or Sweetwater with the expectation of their honoring the discount.  But I guess we're all catching up.

  • our distributors and authorized dealers are using an internal application which shows discounts for registered products too - this is also a reason why we recommend to register all products.

for the same reason it is therefore important to have all products registered to one account, otherwise discounts will not cumulate (where applicable)
