Hi there,
Aside from the occassional 250-300 hz 'muddiness' that I have to dig out of WW's and Brass, I find myself OFTEN EQ'ing the strings.
That is a slippery slope and VERY material / arrangment dependent....
....BUT, does anyone seen a 'pattern' of what works across many styles/arrangements/ etc. for EQing VSL strings?
I have found more often than not the 1250 and 3000 hz needs some reduction - narrow range, 2-4 db.
I would appreciate others opinions though. Again, I realize that there is not one preset for all - but where do you usually start?
