  • maple tool website "suspended"...

    Hi all,
wanted to download maple tools a few minutes ago, but it seems as if the site is dead... If someone with maple tools (the full app -need it for grandioso fx) please could email it to me (theiss2003@aol.com).

    Thanks very much.
    Seb

  • CM,

thanks very much for the quick help. [:D]

    Kind regards,
    Seb

  • it happened to me i stumbled across a website this morning where maple is still available (although i'm not sure, if it is the same or latest version as it was on marblesound.com) - just tested it on a clean system and it works

  • Hi christian,
unfortunatly, this is an older version on postpiano.com (altough it works as well).

Seems that all we can do about the latest version is to share it (like Marcussen did for me), until the website hopefully comes back.

    Greetings,
    Seb

  • well, i've tried to email jeff to ask him for his ok on placing a copy in the VSL download section ... the bad news is the answer from the mailserver: 550 - mailbox doesn't exist.
uuuhhh - if someone of you has another contact than his @marblesound email please forward it to me.
    thanks, christian

  • I'll try to give him a call and see if he just forgot to renew his domain/server. [:)]

  • Benno, the programmer of the new free EthernetMIDI tool, mirrored a newer version of Maple at his website:

    MapleVMCv352.zip
    http://www.linuxsampler.org/ethernetmidi/

You have to scroll a bit down there.

    All the best,

  • Hi folks
Here you can download the maple original-tool too.
I stored it once to have it in case of emergency...
This data file was only named "Setup.exe"

To rekognize it in a better way I renamed it:
    "setup Maple MT v352.exe"

  • for clumsy midi-'masters' like myself... what advances does Maple feature?
currently I'm working directly from Sibelius 3 to Giga, and so far it looks ok.

    thanks.

  • Hi Weslldeckers
To make it short - here you have the link to an explanation:

  • Thanks Beat, clears things up a bit. I guess there's no hardware equivalent, is there?
    That'd be nice.

Why would you want one? I just can't see any advantage.

  • I'm a bit old school I'm afraid... I really don't like computers and software since they they are very prone to mistakes, errors, shutting apps down for no apparant reason...

I like physical decives. With all their cables and buttons and little lights!

  • we also offer a midi router in the tools menu of the downloads section in the user area (in case you run sequencer, performance tool and gigastudio on a single machine).
the advantage of the VSL midi router is, that no other application than the performance tool recognizes the ports (this will prevent a common error regarding midi loops - because eg. cubase doesn't see the ports)
for kontakt and halion setups you'll need a second midi router though
