  • Yes, very informative, thank you! It actually sounds very good, all three together. Shit, which bank can I rob?

These arrangements are [[:|]] , Beat. May I ask for what purpose you are doing them?

  • It sounds to me like Xmas is coming!

    Nice string sound!

    Hi Mathis
    Tank you for the [[[:|]]]
I suggest to rob the National Vienna Sample Bank [[;)]]

Every year I give a concert with my pupils or we produce a CD. For this year I've planed a CD with Carols around Christmas. "Der Mond ist aufgegangen" is an old German song, composed by J.P.A. Schulz at 1770. Its melody live the years up to this day... and I'm happy about this fact. So this arrangement is one of the playbacks for this CD I've written about. The playback for the kids will not contain the (epic-strings-)melody.

To have an idea how it sounds (VSL and Children) visit this link:
Important to know: It is my class > no selection > everybody sings > grumbling-boys and screaming girls > the main point is singing and having fun. This children are aged 10

  • The tune with the kids is absolutely brilliant! Well done on a difficult iniciative. There is a tough key change there for the kids.

    Hi Leon
Thank you for the compliment! But... I've visited your homepage... [:O] your demos... absolutely brilliant (your words)! How do you compress your final-mixes? Which PlugIns?

  • Hi there Beat

Been off line for a while actually 'composing' rather than doing the technical bit.
But now I'm checking the forums for what I've missed. Your examples are very interesting and very fine: the point you are making is that by combining various different samples you get a much richer sound.
Can you confirm I am on the right track - though I am sure I am!

    Kind regards
    Neil

    Hi Neil
I can confirm you, that I am sure you are on the right track on which you are...

    The same in "Swiss German":

    "Jo" = simply "yes"
