    Hi there,

    I'd like to buy the VSL library. However it seems like there's going to be a hard drive version. Do you know the release date by any chance?
    Will it be in EXS24 format or in Gigasampler ? I'm using the EXS24.
    What will be the price in CND (or USD)?

    Furthermore, I guess some of you are using the library with a G5. How is it performance-wise compare to 1 or 2 gigasampler solution?
    What's your system like (how much RAM, internal or external harddrive, videocard,...)
    Since this is a pretty big investement, I'd rather have the better solution to work with.

    vincent, the harddisk version should be released next year, although i wouldn't want to post a date - there are too much open questions regarding the kind of disk, the size and reliability (and guarantee of course) for various options.
    anyway it will be released for both currently supported formats
    the price will depend on the amount of data and instruments and is still tba

    There are some threads in the EXS Topic here which dive heavily into the G5 with tests. Suffice to say that one G5 with EXS is likely the instantaneous replacement for 8 GigaPCs. [[:|]]

    Hi there,

    thanks for your replies.

    I made a search on the EXS24 forum but it looks like the search doesn't work (at least with Safari). The returned result was all the posts made on this forum. Not very useful [:(]

    Do you have any saved posts that you could refer me to?
    I already scanned through the different posts but it would save me some time if you have any to give me.
