    Not scientific, but I've noticed that load times are faster when you do other things on the computer while the sounds are loading. If you launch another program, or start a video, at the point when the loading process seems to hang Gigastudio often springs back to life.

    Yes, to my big surprise I also did experience this. While loading the short horn patches with XP....I lost patience and open Internet explorer to surf the Internet.....and suddenly the loading went much faster!
