    Hello to all.
    I own the Giga version of both the cube and performance sets.
    I recently converted to Logic 6 and am loving the Exs sampler.

    I am interested in crossgrading to the EXS version.

    Since I already own a liscense to the samples I was wondering what the official price is for the crossgrade? Hoping of course that it is a reasonable price.
    I have heard several different answers around the web.

    Also,
    If the price is too high .... does the EXS import VSL well?
    Anyone tried this?

    i remeber there was a thread on this subject a few months back. Herb is on vacation otherwise my guess is you would have had an answer by now. I remember that the cross grade price was somewhere around $1400. Pretty pricy, but if i remeber right it does translate fairly well into EXS. Of course the thing to do is give it try and see about the results.

    Please get in contact with the distributor in your territory for questions on crossgrade pricing. As an additional hint, I'd like to emphasize that it is possible to UPgrade from one format to another at the VIP price (e.g., from Orchestral Cube First Edition Giga to Orchestral Cube Pro Edition EXS).

    thanks for the info.

    The price for crossgrading is VERY high indeed.
    WHile I fully understand how much work went into porting VSL into EXS format, I think they are hurting potential sales with such a high price.

    As VSL owners, we have already paid a significant sum of money for the library.
    Many of us are primarily Mac Users. We would like to be able to use VSL on a mac and currently the only offical mac format is EXS.

    QLSO is cross platform. A BIG advantage. While I prefer VSL at this point, the high price of the crossgrade MAY become a factor in that preference.

    In fact, A full VSL pro edition crossgrade may be nearly as much as QLSO. In which case its clear which I would purchase.

    I submit to all at VSL that a lower crossgrade price would increase crossgrade sales. Very likely you would generate more profit with a lower crossgrade price.

    Please re consider you high crossgrade fee.
    We already own the liscence to the samples. I am more than willing to pay for the programming efforts.

    As to the idea of crossgrading while upgrading to the pro edition.
    I am very reluctant to commit to EXS fully. For many many reasons. One is certainly that its still basically a Logic Only app.

    With the G5's soon to be shipping I submit that VSL is underestimating the potential crossgrade market. I think it may be quite large but only if the price didn't hurt so much.

    Herb, Please reconsider the crossgrade fee. I just want some VSL on my mac! I am blownaway by this library and I will most certainly upgrade each step of the way.
