  • can't download updates for gigastudio

Hi, when I go to "user area", log in, click on updates in the bar at the top, and then click on either the GigaStudio 2.5 or the GigaStudio 3 link, I wind up at the front page. This happens in both firefox and IE.

I assume the GS3 updates are for the new intelligent midi thingy... I'd like to be able to download that!

Also, the DOWNLOADS and UPDATES links at the bottom of the main user area page go to the german version.

And when I was registering my non-forum account, I kept getting a page with VBScript errors on it. I didn't copy it so I can't say exactly what it was, but after some back and forth it stopped happening and seemed to log me in.

    Please help!

  • welcome qdunkan,
thank you for pointing us to this issues, some links seem to have indeed a referrer to the german pages.
what i could not reproduce is the issue for the GS 2.5 and GS 3 (user area, updates, art files) ... they open the intended pages here ...

  • Aha, I figured it out. The links in the page, which link to /user_area/.../art_file_(gs_3).htm, drop me at the front page. The ones on the sidebar, which link to those mysterious number.vsl pages, work (though they ask me to log in a lot).

  • thanks, we'll get that fixed too (a most interesting link ... )
    sorry for the confusion, christian

btw: after login to user area or products you are signed in - after 20 minutes without activity your *session* ends automatically and you need to login again. this works using browser cookies (nothing is stored on your system) which need to be allowed at least for vsl.co.at (it should be the default setting of a browser to accept browser cookies from the same domain you are browsing)
