  • Digital Piano v/s Master controller

I have a P-120S and a CME UF 6 to do all my MIDI stuff.

I got the small UF6 for after touch, mod wheel and pitch bend cauz all of this is not included on the Yamaha P 120-S.

I love the Yamaha touch - and its great.

But now I am planning to get a single Master keyboard controller. But I am not sure - because I like to have the correct touch for playing the piano and I am slightly afraid that even the Hammer Graded Master keyboard controllers wont cut it out at times.

Is this true? Can something like a UF8 compete with P-120S for hammer action? Or other models?

My budget is limited. And since I will be in a studio environment soon - I can easily load up the Ivory pianos (now that they are stand alone - its damn easy to do that) - so I dont need a on-the-fly Digital piano sound - cauz I alrady have a sampled thing going.

What keyboard would you reccommend? This I also think of doing - because eventually, when I set up my studio after a few months - I just want a single keyboard in front of my screens to do everything - rather than having two on top of each other on the side and move around constantly.

    Any ideas/thoguhts/experience?

    Thanks.

    Best,
    Tanuj.
