  • Repetition Tool?

I've noticed that certain files don't respond to the repetition tool. I've loaded 'Tr-3_st-rep_16-150' from the Performance Set and even though visually the tool shows it moving through the key switches, every note starts from the begining of the sample.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Andy.

  • Only gigfiles which are labeled with "PERF" can be used with the Performance Tool. (PERF-LEG or PERF-REP)

'Tr-3_st-rep_16-150' are fast repetitions. It's nearly impossible to play at this tempo on your keyboard. So you get 10 BPM timing steps, and last note release triggers. This last note release triggers, enables to play between two or 9 repetitions.

    best wishes

  • The fast repetition patches for the brass and the flute weren't meant to be used with the repetition tool. Which is why they have so many tempos as well as a release trigger option. For shorter series of notes in these tempos, use the "upbeat" patches which come in the same series of tempos and allow between two and four note repetitions.

I love these patches as you can really hear that the player is using double or triple tonguing.

  • OK,

These files are not working on my machine with the repetition tool:

    TP_Perf-Rep_stac_16-80 - p/mf/ff

    TP_Perf-Rep_stac_16-110 -p/mf/ff

    VC-8_Perf-Rep_stac_16-120 - p/mf/f

I've got the same problem as described above.

    Any one help?

    Andy.

  • Hello Andy,

did you load the dedictaed templates into the repetition tool,
because it's important that the "keyswitch startkey" in the tool is set right.

For celli and trombone the "keyswitch startkey" is mapped to c6 (the first pink key on your giga keyboard)

If you don't use the templates, you have to check, if the playrange is set right, if the "keyswitch startkey" is corresponding with the gigamapping, if your basefunction keys do not cross with the playrange.
