I was just wondering if there will be any patches and/or updates to the Performance Tool at all. If there will be, there is one very small thing that I suspect would help with speeding up the mundane stuff.
I'm not sure if everyone works similiarly to me in this regard, but I've got a project drive where I keep all working projects stored. In any one of the many project directories, one will find all the necessary Cubase SX .npr project files and versions, all the needed .gsp files that correspond to different giga machines, and most recently, all the required .vlp Performance Tool files that the project needs.
When opening up a .gsp in giga, the program will look by default to the last directory it opened from, and in this case, it's usually from a project directory across the network on my master machine, buried with all the other stuff. While it's not that big a deal to click through all the directories to get there the way it is now, it would make things so much faster if the Performance Tool would automatically start with the last directory it opened from. Cubase does this too, and it really does save a small chunk of effort over time.
The nature of working on music like this entails that either A - we leave all our machines on until a project is finished, or B - we find ourselves opening the same projects over and over again. Maybe I'm just really lazy [H] , but I think this would be a very small but positive change to the Tool. Any thoughts?
