i also think that's very cool. I'm working on a score for a film that's going to be 100% VSL. It gives you an extreme edge in sound quality, that's for sure! congrats on getting the score done...

The trailer is made with VSL and some drumloops from
Pro Samples VOL 04 (LE version of "Percussive adventures) costs around 40$.
The big punches are combinations of several drums and hits with compression
and a portion of a free au plugin: Frohmage

There are also some punches made by the soundeditors.
