  • Song file load

After installing now all of the new files I got e serious problem:

The songs I did with the first edition files are not loaded correctly anymore!!! [*-)]

This data is lost, not recoverable anymore....

Anyone having the same problem? [:'(]

  • As I can see now:

File names have changed (although Herb ensured that the pro edition is not changing existing names/terms of the instruments!!!):

VA-10 instrument names are changed to:

    VA-10B...

This is not the only instrument that changed in its name!!!!

Why did you do that!!!! [:'(] I'm in a complete mess here!!!

Giga isn't loading anymore the files correctly (I used for the songs before!!!
Since the file names have changed... Even folder names...

This is no good... Please HELP, Herb!

  • Sorry, that you have problems, Matt.

For some files we had to relable the names.
The example you mention was an wrong labeling in the first edition,
because the Basic set instruments should have an individual labeling.
Withou the "B" they could have equal names with the SHORT NOTES or other mapping sets, which could be confusing if you load both.

Other changes are the new looped sustains, they do have a "L" labeling in their name.

I wrote an overview how to handle different filenames.
Thought our distributors attached this in the Pro Edition package?
I also mentioned there, that if current projects are in work, it's better to keep the original database for safety.

I tried to label the Pro Edition clear and homogenous, keeping the old labelings wherever it was possible.

During mapping the First Edition I tried to anticipate all Pro Edition add-ons and possible changes in the labeling. Sorry again, that I didn't see all the progressions.

If you need detailed informations or help about labeling, let me know.

    best wishes
    Herb
