    Hello,

           I currently own Solo Strings 2 & Orch strings (focusing on sordinos) and I am finding the sordino legato in the orch package very synthetic sounding (at moderate speeds +). I've tried stretching samples as suggested with no luck as I cannot achieve a pleasant enough sound. They just slide everywhere. I am quite surprised tbh.

    My question is: I need an ensemble size sordino - which would you choose out of Chamber Strings 2, App. 2 or Dim 2?

    Synthetic sounding?

    Did you try layering the solo strings with the Orch. Strings?

    What kind of reverbs are you using?

    As for your question, try requesting a demo license of each library and see which one(s) suits your fancy😊

    I did put the solo's on top of the orch and it does sound better but still not ideal.

    I use Mir Pro. I dont want to have to drown my instruments to get a decent sound. I could use Forti/Serti but still not ideal.

    unfortunately I cant demo the products.

    Not very happy. It seems like they tailored the Sordino to slow playing only.

    When you layer strings the trick is in the volumes between the layers. Also if you have the non sordino solo strings try them as an alternative instead of solo strings 2. My apologies for the demo suggestion. I was recently made aware that demo'ing sample libraries was not possible.
