How Long WIll The Original Vienna Suite Be Available?

The release of Vienna Suite Pro introduces a much-needed overhauled GUI for a Vienna software title. One assumes this will eventually work its way through into new versions of VE Pro and VI Pro.

Given that the original Vienna Suite now has a "dated" look, I can't help but wonder how long it will continue to be available.

I suppose it's unlikely that we will get any official word on that for a little while, but people like me will find the Pro version just enough more expensive to make it unaffordable. Of course the price-drop for the original Suite has the opposite effect, making it MORE affordable. But is it serving a temporary purpose? Is it a matter of "buy it now, 'cause it won't be available later?" And if one does buy it now, is one buying a product whose path for future updates leads only to the much more expensive Pro version?

I do not ask these questions to criticize -- not at all -- but with positive intent, only seeking to understand my options more clearly.

There are no plans to discontinue our successful Vienna Suite in the foreseeable future. In any case, the upgrade path is now also a great way to get have both products available without spending a penny more.

Now is definitely a good time to get either Vienna Suite or Vienna Suite AND the upgrade to Vienna Suite Pro... introductory prices don´t come back so quickly....

I´d say, give it a try with a demo license - really cool plug-ins. All of them!

Hi Paul,

I like the Vienna Suite a lot and I live working with it in many ways. As I can see now, the Pro version mainly adds surround plugins, which I don't intend to use. Is there another reason for upgrading besides the extended surround possibilities? Please explain thoroughly.

The best idea is to check the plug-ins out personally, that´s what the demo license is there for. That´s definitely the better option than writing a sermon 😳

I tried to give a quick overview of the main features in these videos. 

See if you like the look and feel, and definitely give the Hybrid Reverb Pro a spin, the sound is amazing. 

And the new approach on the Multiband Pro - let´s you do things in a different way! The Grouping features can also be really cool for stereo processing, with additional M/S processing available with just a click. 

Personally, I LOVE that all plug-ins are resizable and scalable, it makes SUCH a difference if you are working on bigger screens. And of course those nice littel extras like the stereo effects for the Powerpan Pro....
