Hi everyone
I am testing a few things concerning effects in VE / Sibelius at the moment and would like to hear your opinion about it: Since some third party plugins are not working in 32bit VE Service, I thought about adding them directly into Sibelius so that I can work in 64bit mode. I exported two versions of a piece as audio files, once with the effects coming from VE (Bus tracks) and once with the exact same effects coming from Sibelius. I thought that the version with the effects from VE sounded somehow better, brighter. Is this possible? Or, asked differently, does it even make sense to work in VE 64 bit mode? What exactly is the difference between these two modes?
Thanks very much for your help!
All the best

Effects in VE or Sibelius??

Hello Balz!
The main difference between VE 64-bit and 32-bit is, that you can use all your RAM with the 64-bit version. 32-bit plugins can only be loaded with the 32-bit vesion and 64-bit plugins can only be loaded with the 64-bit version. It's also possible to use VE Service 64-bit and 32-bit at the same time. Just start the VE Service version(s) you want to connect to before starting Sibelius.
Best regards,

Yes, that's what I've already understood, thanks! But does it make a difference concerning quality if I add my effects directly in sibelius than to VE? Becaus if I choose the 64-bit version I still am able to add plugins directly into sibelius... best ragards balz
