Hi, I've just tested this featureon VEPro today , I thought it was support to work with Vienna Instruments only.
For people who didn't try it yet, it displays VI GUI when it detect some pair of MIDI notes (or any MIDI activity) on its MIDI channel 8)
Here it also works with regular 3rd party VST plugin. This feature is so great/clever/astonished that I wonder if this could be improved in many ways :
- Focus only works on the current raised instance. I use a lot of instance at the same (with few VST loaded in each) : it would be great if the MIDI focus activity could raise the right instance at the same time.
- if playing back a lot of tracks, if I activate this function for each instance, I wonder if it could mess things up and generate issues. The same if I send the same MIDI messages to 2 or more instuments (stack/layers). MIDI activity Focus must be activated/desactivated for each instance one by one.
I think, a global activation/desactivation for all connected instances in the server window could help.
- Furthermore, if we could activate this function directly from the plugin (aside or with the raise button), would help too.
- In PT (and also Logic), I use track selection as a MIDI router. What about assigning a particular note or a CC to the MIDI activity Focus function so that press a key on the right MIDI channel would raise up both instance and instrument GUI. In other words, a kind of MIDI filter to trigger the MIDI activity Focus...
This would prevent from activating/desactivating this option all the time and also prevent from potential issues when playing back tracks...
Any other comment/other suggestion on this would be appreciated. Thanks !
