  • How do you get the convolution reverbs to work in Vienna Imperial?

I'm on V1.0.514 of Vienna Imperial, and the 4 hall reverbs work all OK, but the 3 convolution reverbs don't do anything. I have reinstalled it, but they are still dead, so how do I get the convolution  reverbs to work?

  • The built-in convolution reverb won't work with latencies below 64 samples, AFAIR, and it need an Intel-CPU, if you're on a Mac.

  •  Well,  if I use the Vienna Imperial standalone, I can get the convolution reverb to work now if I select certain buffer sizes, 128, 256, 512 , 1024, 2048 & 4096 will work, buffer sizes 64, 384, 768 and 3072 do not work (they are the multples of 64 at x6, x12 and x48, so I can see the link there). Is this an oddity with my sound card (Emu 1820m) or something else?

If I have Vienna Ensemble as a VST plug in in Cubase, then the convolution reverb never works, there is no buffer size setting when running as a plug in, and no setting of buffers for my emu 1820m works (the EMu control panels sets latency as mS and not buffers, so it's 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,14 etc mS options doesn't ever relate to exactly 128, 256 samples). At 44.1K 128 samples is 2.9mS and 256 samples is 5.8mS, so is this why it doesn't work?

I am now running Vienna Imperial in VE Pro, networked to the master PC running Cubase, in VE Pro everything is working as long as I set the buffer to 128,  I am just a bit concerned that this is all a very fragile set up, is this normal or is it unique to my system.
