  • Has programming/scripting changed in newer updates of VI/VEP?

I've been using vienna instruments inside a VSL rack program, on a slave PC for a few years... i recently refurbed that slave PC, into a blazing new PC, and switched over to VEP.  i've reloaded in my vienna winds 1 collection.. onto this new computer, and installed VEP..  and all the latest updates... i've opened up the session i was working on with the previous old VI vst instruments and my old computer... and playing back the exact same midi with my new VEP build... does not generate the same line.  the scripting in the legato lines appears to be programmed differently?  i have an audio print of my old solo legato Bb clarinet, for example... and now, calling it out of VEP pro, and the latest updates... my clarinet patch now plays the legato lines, very clumsily, and the crossfades between legato notes sound very sloppy, and don't speak as smoothly as before?   thoughts??   did these scripts for these instruments get updated somehow?  and is there anyway i can get back to what it was before?  appreciate the help

  • Switch off Polyphonic legato.

  • I'm not in Vienna instruments Pro.  In attempting to recreate my previous machine here.  i have not yet updated to Vienna instruments Pro.  so, i'm still in vienna instruments.  and that isn't an option.  any other thoughts?  why is it performing the midi differently?

  • any other thoughts?

  • Is it possible to post mp3 of these files, so that I can hear the difference? The only thing that springs to mind without hearing anything is that maybe you're not using exactly the same patch or same settings in VI.

I can't see how VE Pro is more than a networked virtual inst. rack with a mixer, ie., nothing that will change anything in the midi performance. If it's the same instrument and the same angine, well, it's the same instrument and the same engine...

I have seen a couple things that were different with the handling of an instrument in VI Pro in its default state vs regular VI, which I eventually found in order to correct... I don't know about a new version of regular VI and I guess someone in Vienna will be the one to address the differences there if any.
