  • VE pro Midi channels

    Hi,

Or how can I set up an instance (or an instrument) of VE Pro to react only on CH 1-8 or 9-16
All I find to select is omni or single channels.

I want to set up Omnisphere and stylus RMX in two instances of VE Pro but on the same Midi Port.
For some reason I use a midi interface instead of network midi, but the problem would be the same if I use both instruments in one instance.

I want Stylus to react on Midi CH 1-8 and Omnisphere on Midi CH 9-16
Stylus seems to react on CH 1 and 9 and 2 and 10 and so on.

    Any idea?

  • Chris, this is a unique problem with RMX that is not true of Omnisphere or Trillian. I am going to bug them at NAMM again to fix this, I recommend using RMX in its own instance of VE Pro for that reason.

  • Thanks for your fast reply Jay,

This RMX issue can also be used as a feature.

If you are using Stylus in Grove mode on CH1, you can use the same instrument in slice mode on CH9.

This can be handy, but yes, ask them at NAMM to introduce a preference page to turn this bug/feature on or off.

BTW, you will miss me again this year at NAMM. ;-)

So, is it possible to assign an instrument in VE pro to several MIDI channels?
