Hi Albert!
When Finale solves the issues I've reported numerous times to them, I will create Human Playback Preferences for more of our collections and then I will create a video. For now, this is out of my hand.

Andi

Hi Andi,
thanks for the new Sibelius video demo. I LOVE[H][Y] the opening music you composed. Sounds just great!
It has really inspired me to get scoring again in Sibelius 6, and start taking advantage of the Vienna Instruments Pro with all the humanizing features!
best,
Steve[:D]
Hi Oceanview,
I'm using Sibelius 6 on a Windows 7 64 bit, and I am using jbridge to use the new Vienna Ensemble 64 bit. I can't remember if I have tried the new Vienna Instruments Pro in Sibelius but I will give it a go and get back to you.
best,
Steve.
Both, Vienna Instruments Pro and Vienna Ensemble Pro have been compatible with Sibelius from the beginning. To use VI Pro for bigger arrangements, it was recommended to wait for the new VE version, which is already available now. [:)]
It's not necessary to use jbridge. Just start Vienna Ensemble Service (64-bit) or Vienna Ensemble Pro Server (64-bit) before starting Sibelius. The activated VE (or VEPro) instances will then connect to the 64-bit server.
Best,
Andi
HI Andi,
it looks like I have confused the issue here - I should have looked and noticed that you guys are talking about Vienna Ensemble Pro, not the free VEns that anyone who has Vinstruments can download.
My apologies for the mistake and any confusion it may have caused.
best,
Steve [:)]
Hi Andi,
I downloaded this file yesterday, and I disconnected my Sibelius folder with the jbridge link and pointed sibelius to my older folder that had my 32, and 64 bit versions of VEns.
I made sure that I started up the Vienna Ensemble 64 bit service, and when I did this, the new greyish type of start up window came up and said it was scanning licence/samples.
However, the Vens that came up looks exactly like the same as my old one, and it does not have the choice to insert either a vienna instrument of ve pro instance, as it does when I have my sibelius vst folder with the jbridge version in it. It says that it is "Vienne ensemble V2.0 Build 4131 [64 bit]." But, as I said, it does no appear to let me insert a vi pro instance in it.
I did some experimenting and deleted my 32 bit vens dll file out of my non jbridge sibelius vst folder, and left the 64 bit version in it, and when opening the Play menu in sibelius, there was no vens at all to be seen to be able to activate.
However, when I reinserted the dll file that I took out, even though the 64 bit version of the vens service was activated before opening sibelius, it is giving me a 64 bit version, but not the greyish coloured one I would get using the jbridge version which gives you the choice of inserting a vinstrument or a vipro.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong here, but there must be something I am not aware of that I have not done. Maybe I should completely uninstall vens and reinstall it?
Do you have any advice or thoughts as to why this is happening Andi?
many thanks for any ideas you have here.
best,
Steve.
Hi Steve!
It seems to me, that somehow both Vienna Ensemble versions (2.0 and 4.1) were installed on your machine. Please uninstall Vienna Ensemble and do a search for any remaining Vienna Ensemble files or folders afterwards. Delete any remaining files. After that reinstall Vienna Ensemble.
Best,
Andi
Hi Andy,
thank you for your reply and help. Unfortunately, this did not work. I can only access Vens now through the jbridge version.
I'm not sure what to do now, so do you have any ideas what could be causing this?
I'm using Sibelius 6.2.0 build 88. which is the latest version of Sibelius, so everything should be right here.
thank you again if you have any thoughts on this.
best,
Steve [:)]
Hi Steve!
When Vienna Ensemble plug-ins are loaded with a master host project (Playback Configuration), they will always connect to the Vienna Ensemble Service with the achitecture (32-bit/64-bit) they were connected to when the master host project (Playback Configuration) was saved.
For details on how you can change that, please refer to the Vienna Ensemble manual v.2.5.2, page 9.
Best,
Andi
Hi Andi,
thanks for your help with here. I will get to thet manual and find out more about this.
