  • VE Pro Update troubles [[SOLVED]]

Hi there.  I'm trying to install the latest version of VE Pro, and have run into a problem.  The installer gets most of the way through the process, then a window pops up with a message saying this:

    eLicenser Control - Error

Application 'VSL' has caused the following error:

Unknown exception caught.  Process execution failed.

Options: - Click <Ok> to abort.

I get that message any time I try to start up VE Pro.  I'm running OSX 10.6.4 on a 2.66 GHz Quad core with 16 GB RAM.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Jeff

So two minutes after posting this I updated the eLicense Control Center, reinstalled VE Pro, and all's well.

  • Have you updated the eLicencer to the latest version? If not, do so.

  • Well, that did the trick, now a few months later, and another update, and I'm back to the same problem, but on my slave PC this time.  I've downloaded the latest eLicencer and VE updates, and while I can see my licenses in the Control Center, I can get VE to boot up, I get the same error message as before.  Anyone else having this problem?

  • Try a different USB port.
